MIXING AND TESTING

Soft Seal must be thoroughly mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume. This can be done by hand, or with a precision metering equipment. The device selected must be accurate to within +/-2%. Please consult us when mixing by hand for a more detailed description of the procedures involved. It is not recommended that the gel be poured below 60F.

The gel should be tested for proper curing before installation. This may be done using the following procedure. Place equal amounts of the combined material (by weight or volume) in a small metal container. Stir the liquid thoroughly, and then apply heat using a hairdryer or heat gun for approximately 5 min. The materials should gel by this time, or be very thick, indicating it is good. We require this test before installation. Please call if you have any questions about the procedure.
